eye pirate

Here is the fight between the irrational and rational Me: I know I don't need the internet browser, I even disabled it, yet I keep disabling it out of impulse.

The idea is to spend less time online so:

I downloaded Flashscore to catch up with sports.

I downloaded Wikipedia to satisfy my curiosity

I downloaded NetNewsWire for RSS feeds

I downloaded a QR Code scanner app for daily needs (in IOS, i know no other apps to scan QR codes better than this. IT does not force you to funny subscriptions and, more importantly, opens Safari in the app even after disabling Safari)

I downloaded YouTube Music for (duh) listening music (my excuse has always been: 'I need Safari because I need YouTube to listen to music).

And I downloaded music onto my phone, played on VLC app.

Pirate.

I recalled a convo with Nina. Actually it was in text (upon reflection, I need to talk more). She asked me 'do you use spotify' I said 'ideally no' 'So how do you listen' 'I like to download them off youtube ig" 'THAT'S PIRATING'

Oops.

This is moral subjectivity. "It's not immoral if nobody can condemn me" ahh reasoning.

They're already making bank from the royalties or copyrights (IDK How it works) anyways. That's the dream: Make a hit and live off it (again I have no idea how the music industry works). I wish I have musical talent. That way I can be in a band, go on stages, amuse everybody.

The last music I downloaded was Bon Iver's Bon Iver album (how original). I found out as I was listening to the full thing that I accidentally(!) downloaded a compilation with live performances inside.

To remove the hassle of downloading individual songs, I prefer downloading a whole album bcs why not. Actually forces me to listen to everything.

And I couldn't be more happier. I'm so glad I downloaded this version, it's a real banger.

'hey why do i hear applauses, cheers, whistles?'

Holocene is great but the live version is even better. Idk what genre this album belongs to but I love it. There's jazz and a disco-typa music at the end. I love the duality. I love it. There I said it.

I think I can be an aesthete. When I listen to music like Bon Iver, everything I see becomes beautiful to me. These are the times I wish my eyes were a camera. Or that my camera is with me. I say that every. time.

It's why I'm thinking of getting a 50mm lens because I heard that's the lens closest to mimicking the human eye.

Photography is about communicating the image of an image.

The image being the thing I could be staring for a while. For reasons I can't explain with words, the Things I would stare at simply fascinates me. I think it's the Light shining in it. Or the Light that it emanates idk. I say all this while my pictures look like shit.

I give an example: this (This picture is one of the wallpapers of my desktop) or this

(One day I shall deal with the CSS of image sizes)

I dig Eggleston (not my only favorite photographer). Can't explain why, I reckon it must be the way he Sees.
